As far as I know he was involved, but not much, and more regarding the story lines and stuff. I don't think he helped with the casting? And - as little as I know about him - he doesn't really seem like someone who would cast an important character like this.
Ah, found it. Here (http://home.hiwaay.net/~warydbom/duesouth/haggischat.htm)'s an interview with PH; it seems like he was involved. No word about casting though. Also, unpleasant (question 28).
